Emotional Balance Through Nature-Based Art and Storytelling.

This 1.5-hour session combines breathwork, storytelling, and environmental art to help Key Stage 2 children explore emotions, find balance, and reconnect with nature. The workshop is designed for up to 8 children.

Workshop Outline

  1. Breathwork and Grounding
    • Simple, mindful breathing exercises to help children feel calm and focused.
  2. Storytelling
    • A story called “The Sun and the Moon” to explore emotional transitions and the idea of balance and growth.
  3. Nature Walk and Foraging
    • A guided walk where children collect natural materials that symbolize their feelings, helping them connect with their environment. Weather permitting on The Glebe Field adjacent to the church
  4. Creative Art Making
    • Using collected materials, children will create “emotional mobiles” that represent balance and resilience.
  5. Reflection and Sharing
    • A supportive space for children to share their creations and insights with the group.
