Flash Fiction with Rachell Canwell

Join local author Rachel Canwell for a creative flash fiction workshop inspired by this year’s theme, Futures: Real and Imagined. Explore ‘Sliding Doors’ moments and reimagine how life might change with a single choice. No experience needed — just curiosity and imagination! Participants can share their stories at the True Stories evening.

Come and find out what flash fiction is all about!

Local author Rachel Canwell will guide you to create your own mini (<1,000 words) work of fiction, possibly inspired by a real-life experience.

In response to this year’s festival theme – Futures: Real and Imagined – you’ll be encouraged to consider a ‘Sliding Doors’ moment in your life and reimagine what might have happened if you had taken a single step in a different direction, missed a train or not answered a call!

Attendees will be invited to bring their work to our ‘True Stories’ evening on Monday 9 Feb at St Mary’s Church, when Jayne Davies will host a live story-sharing session. No previous experience necessary.
