Foresty featuring Nature Art with Richard Shilling

The third Sunday in every month is ‘Foresty’ afternoon in Kirkby Lonsdale organised by Churches in Lunesdale. Families come along to St Mary’s Churchyard and Glebe field to explore the outdoors and engage in some play and making sessions.

For Illuminate, we’re delighted to welcome Richard Shilling who will lead one of his acclaimed Nature Art sessions as part of this Foresty afternoon.

Richard says: “Do you want to learn how to make all sorts of fascinating sculptures from leaves and other simple natural materials? Join Julia and Richard from Land Art for Kids to find out how to make various ephemeral nature sculptures.

“Workshops will be drop-in style, so anyone can come along and make things for as long or as little as they like between 1.00PM and 3.30PM. Suitable for ages 4 upwards, with no special skills required.”

Don’t worry about rain or snow! In case of inclement weather, we’ll bring our activities indoors!
