A small workshop for children designed to promote emotional balance through nature-based art and storytelling. Led by experienced teacher Trish Phillips, this session is designed for Key Stage 2 children (7-11) and uses a blend of breathwork, storytelling, and environmental art to help participants explore their emotions, foster a sense of balance, and reconnect with the natural world. Children must be accompanied.
Workshop Overview:
Breathwork and Grounding: Introduces simple, mindful breathing exercises to help children feel calm and focused.
Storytelling: Explores emotional transitions through the story of “The Sun and the Moon,” encouraging reflection on balance and growth.
Nature Walk and Foraging: Invites children to collect natural materials symbolizing their feelings, fostering connection with their environment.
Creative Art Making: Guides participants in creating “emotional mobiles,” representing balance and resilience through natural elements.
Reflection and Sharing: Provides a supportive space for participants to share their creations and insights.
Additional notes: FREE to attend – but booking is essential as places are capped at 12 children.
